Porcupine Tree In Chicago : Here is the start of a new section which I am hoping to fill in with many photos throughout this summer. We spent this last weekend on a road trip to Chicago and Milwaukee to see one of my favorite bands, Porcupine Tree. (Excellent group, and if you've not heard of them.....you are missing some GREAT stuff!!!!) They were gracious enough to allow me a photo pass and I had a chance to take a few pics. It was my first photo pass and I will remember this trip with great fondness. Ok, here's a few pics.....

Fishbone : I had a chance to see Fishbone last weekend at Station 4 in St. Paul. Fishbone has long been one of my favorite bands, and it was nice to be able to take a few pics during the set. They rocked of course, and put on a fabulous, high energy show. This is one band that is worth seeing every time, and in my opinion should be playing much better venues. The lighting on the stage at Station 4 is awefull, so it was hard to get photos to come out well without blur and noise due to high ISO. I did manage to get a few decent shots, but there were some members who I couldn't get because they were in the dark spots. Wish there would have been some lighing in front of the stage, because it would have been nice to get some shots of various band members surfing the crowd. All in all, a great evening and a fabulous show. Thanks Fishbone! Hope to see you again soon!

Alice Cooper (Wausau, WI, 8-6-09) : What can I say? Sometimes the planets just align and things work out better than you would ever hope. It was a dream come true when I went to see Alice last weekend in Wausau. Not only was I able to bring my camera in to the show, but I also ended up in the front row. Not only that, but it was a GREAT show with a lot of new stage theatrics that I haven't seen before.....or at least for a long time. Out of the 25 or so times I've seen Alice, this was one of the best. Although......he ALWAYS puts on a top notch show! Just keeps getting better. Ok....I've probably posted too many pictures in this gallery, but.....can you blame me..?......

Brian Setzer Orchestra : Went to see the Brian Setzer Orchestra last night, and was fortunate enough to have a photo pass. Thanks Scott! Great show as expected, and this was the first time I tried shooting something like this with my new camera. Love it! Just wish there would have been more time. :~)
